Boxes of Hearts 2026

Market Fresh had the privilege of hosting a Boxes of Hearts Fundraiser to support Guelph’s Community of Hearts organization. In February, participants in the Community of Hearts program worked hard to hand-dip chocolate-covered licorice as part of this initiative. Candy bags were sold at Market Fresh tills, with proceeds supporting the Boxes of Hearts program, which provides adults with developmental exceptionalities the opportunity to gain job training and real-world work experience. Through this program, participants can earn a certificate and honorarium, and gain valuable references for future employment. Thanks to the generosity of our loyal customers and the dedication of our Market Fresh team, we sold out of all candy bags and raised nearly $7,000! We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with our Guelph community in support of such an amazing organization.
